Different Towns, an exhibition curated by Isa Saldivar, featuring artworks of various mediums that aim to approach an authentic representation of the brown and indigenous communities of Santa Barbara, separate from the affluent neighborhoods it’s known for. This exhibition includes work from indigenous artists and creators Solange Aguilar, Omepache, Spencer Jaimes, Isa Saldivar, and Jean Ziesenhenne and will be on view at Museum of Contemporary Art Santa Barbara (MCASB) from August 24 - 28, 2022. Isa Saldivar is a fellow in MCASB's Emerging Leaders in the Arts (ELA) Program, which sponsors this exhibition. Related programming includes a ceremony of Danza Mexicayotl that will take place during the Opening Reception on August 24, 2022, and an open mic will be held on August 28, 2022.
