ACTIVATE!

Developed in immediate response to the current state of unrest and discomfort in the US, this special program encourages Santa Barbara community members to creatively channel their pursuits to defend what what matters most to them, whether that is the NEA, NEH, public education, equal rights, or something else. ACTIVATE! provides materials for participants to knit hats (in the tradition of the feminist “pussy hats” created for the January women’s march), make protest signs and flags, and write letters while coming together in solidarity. The reSisters Choir will be holding rehearsals for their flash mob performances of “I Can’t Keep Quiet” in the gallery spaces of the Museum during this time, so come be inspired by their harmonies and ACTIVATE!
