Arts writer Josef Woodard writes a generous review of Russian-born, NYC-based artist Dasha Shishkin’s work, currently on exhibit at Museum of Contemporary Art Santa Barbara (MCASB). Shishkin’s show, titled erry icket, is the first exhibition since SBCAF became MCASB.

“With her surreal series, Ms. Shishkin has cooked up a fascinating, strange, fever dreamy-colored world of her own devising, the clues to which seem just beyond our grasp, even as we get a powerful scent of a narrative, a cast of characters, alien body types, and some implicit code of conduct.”
