Performances
On Edge is a program focused on MCASB's ongoing commitment to presenting the work of artists who work in the realm of performance.
It extends from the museum's Forum Lounge series, which presented monthly events of exceptional music, dance, video, and other multi-media time-based art to our community, and our subsequent two years of organizing the On Edge Festival (2014-15)—the first event of its kind on the Central Coast—bringing internationally renowned performance artists to Santa Barbara to present their new work over a weekend-long itinerary of events. Since this time On Edge has transitioned into a continuous program of performances organized as part of our exhibitions, community engagement, and membership events.
